NEW: Illinois GOP chairman quits

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Illinois GOP Chairman Andy McKenna is resigning. McKenna says he's stepping down now to avoid having the Illinois Republican Party elect a new leader next spring in the middle of a general election. McKenna had said he read the full story
