A child playing with a lighter caused a fire this afternoon at a house at 5125 N. Fremont, said Joe Vitale, spokesman for the Kansas City Fire Department. Fire crews responded at about 2:55 p.m. One adult was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, Vitale said. read the full story
